About the Show

The Spark and the Fire is the living fire of Kent E. Nielsen — founder of Do Greater Works.

Not a podcast of study notes. The fruit of thirty years living the doctrine of Christ — distilled and offered freely, one laborer to another. Across every field of human striving — personal development, mathematics, and all the rest — the wisdom of the world has mapped the form of godliness. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ supplies the power. This is the work of infusing that power back into all of it.

For striving disciples already on the iron rod — turning their lives fully over to Christ, realizing their divine identity, becoming one with God to do greater works and bring forth His kingdom on earth as in heaven. This is the Lord's business (D&C 64:29).
Come — do greater works than these. — John 14:12

New episodes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Start free with More Than Solomon at dogreaterworks.com.

The spark is to live the teachings of Christ. The fire is to be perfected in Him.

Kent E. Nielsen

Kent E. Nielsen — Friend of Christ. Husband. Father. Writing from one laborer to another — laboring for Zion, in His Yoke daily. A homeschooling father in Utah, I founded Do Greater Works to offer what I've been given — peer to peer, one laborer to another, to anyone the Spirit is walking deeper toward direct encounter with the Lord to be one with Father, as He was. I spent thirty years seeking the Truth in books and in men. The traditions I studied mapped the form of godliness with real precision — but the key was never in the books. The Lord gave me the key at eighteen, in a personal revelation. I did not know it was a direct line. I did not know the Holy Ghost Himself — a Personage of the Godhead — would teach me the truth of all things. He has been patient with me. He is still teaching me. And He will teach you. Like my Master, I cannot say aught of myself. I do only that which I have seen the Father do. He is the Good Master. I am not. I am weak and fallen. But in Christ I can do all things, even whatsoever the Father commands. The key was always the Personage. Each morning I return to the well — scripture, prayer, and the quiet teaching of the Holy Ghost — and what I'm given there becomes the work I publish: the written piece first, then an audio companion to walk with you. The Spark and the Fire, my video podcast for laborers, rises from the same well — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It's all at Do Greater Works (dogreaterworks.com), offered freely. Come — do greater works than these. — Kent
