Show Notes

For what end were you born? You've carried that question since childhood — and the world has offered you a hundred answers. Riches. Land. Freedom. Every one of them the form of godliness without the power.

In this first episode, I trace the answer I learned on a horse ranch before I could name it — the answer that broke open in a vision at eighteen and that I have not been able to set down in the thirty years since. A kitten becomes a cat. A colt becomes a horse. And you? You were not born to acquire. You were born to inherit.

This is the foundation everything else here will build on: the math of the form and the power — why any number divided by infinity is zero, and why a finite life joined to the infinite is made infinite. Come, do greater works. Take up His yoke. Be perfected in Him. Deny not the power of God.

Sit with it. Take it to the Lord. Then come back — because next I run the math all the way to the rich young ruler, and show you why the world's success ladder is leaned against the wrong wall.

Kent E. Nielsen (00:00) Welcome to the spark and the fire. I'm Kent Nielsen and this is the work the Lord named, Do Greater Works. From the words Christ himself in John 14 verse 12, the question this podcast exists to answer is older than any of us and every soul has carried it in some form since childhood. For what end were you born? The world will give you a hundred answers. Most of them are, the form of godliness without power. None of them will satisfy the part of you that already knows you were made for more. In this episode, I'm going to give you the answer I learned on a horse ranch before I could name it. The answer that broke open for me at 18 and that I have not been able to sit down in 30 years since. It is the foundation everything else in this podcast will build on. Listen with me. For what end were you born? I learned the answer on a horse ranch before I could name it. A kitten becomes a cat. A colt becomes a horse. Nothing born of one kind ever grew into another. And no one had to teach the colt to want it. The world will offer you riches. The world will offer you land. The world will offer you freedom and call them the prize. Christ himself was offered the same. Every kingdom of this world laid at his feet for one small bow. He was not born for what could be bought. He was born for what could be inherited. He chose the Father's will and in the resurrection received all that Father has and prepared a way that you might be co-heir with him. I was 18. When the vision came a hologram of my own past spoken back to me in only the language I knew the question I had carried since I was 10. What do you want to be when you grow up? broke up into a single sentence I have never been able to set down the world teaches form the shape of godliness without the power. But the form within the vine is nothing run the math X or any number. divided by infinity equals what? Zero, nada, nothing, zilch. You can have the form in the world, but without him, you are nothing. But in the vine, in the yoke, the math turns. Infinity, plus or minus one, plus or minus a million, plus or minus a billion, equals infinity. The finite, excuse me, a finite life joined to the infinite is made infinite. Come, do greater works than these. Take up His yoke. Be perfected in Him. Deny not the power of God. The prophet who saw God face to face said it plainly enough for a farm ⁓ boy to understand. You have got to learn how to make yourselves gods, the same as all the gods have done before you. from grace to grace, from small capacity to a great capacity, till you are able to sit in yonder in everlasting burnings enthroned. For what end were you born? A kitten becomes a cat, a colt becomes a horse, and you? You were not born to acquire, you were born to inherit. The form is already in you. The divine nature, the seed, the design, the vine is what makes it grow. This is the spark and the fire. New episode tomorrow, and I will run the math from this one all the way to the rich young ruler. why the world's success ladder is leaned against the wrong wall, why any number divided by infinity is zero, and why your finite life, joined to the infinite, becomes infinite. If this stirred something in you, do not let it pass. Sit with it, ponder it, take it to the Lord and come back tomorrow. The spark is to live the teachings of Christ. The fire is to be perfected in him, Kent
