[00:00:00] Welcome back to the Spark and the Fire. I'm Kent Nielsen. Yesterday I gave you the foundation you were born to inherit, not acquire. The form of godliness is already in you. The vine is what makes it grow. Today I want to take that math and run it all the way down. Because there is a lie loose in the world right now, and the most successful, most respected men of our generation are repeating it. The lie is that a good and honorable man of the earth is enough. That a great business, a strong family, a clean reputation, a comfortable life is the prize. Is not. I'm going to show you in eight short stanzas why it is not. I'm going to show you why a man who cannot bridle his tongue has no business leading a company, a country or anything else. Why William Law's penitence, the rich and successful businessman, died in 12 hours of convulsion unable to finish his confession. Why the rich young ruler walked away sorrowfully and why your billion surrendered into Christ becomes infinite. This one will not be gentle. It is not meant to be. Listen with me. The quiet lie you've been told, that being a good and honorable man of the earth is enough. It is not. Good is not the aim. Honorable is not the aim. Successful is not the aim. These are the form of godliness without power, the equation nobody runs. Number 2. Take any number you want. A million, a billion, a hundred billion. Divide it by infinity. The answer is zero. That is the math of the world's game. The math that every successful leader leaned against the wrong wall.
[00:01:44] Number three. The rotten piece. There is an old picture of an egg with three parts. One part rots, the whole egg will rotate. Not today, not tomorrow. But it's going to. I have heard the leaders say. My only drawback is my language. I cuss now and then.
[00:02:00] I'm just being authentic. That is not.
[00:02:04] That is not authenticity.
[00:02:06] That is being authentic to the natural man. That is being authentic to a vocabulary you never bothered to grow. If you tolerate the rotten peace, the cussing, the compromise, the hidden thing. It spreads. It always spreads. 4. The the tongue is the test. James, chapter 3. He that offendeth not a word the same is a perfect man and able also to bridle the whole body. If you cannot bridle your tongue, why are you bridling a company? If you cannot bridle your tongue, why are you leading a country? If you cannot bridle your tongue, why are you leading anything at all? Capital, capacity, capitalism. None of it qualifies you. The tongue does. 5. The rich man already won. There is a story William Law tells of the man named Penitent.
[00:02:55] I may have butchered the name. A successful businessman. He knew the laws of success. He lived them. He won. And then he died. 12 hours of convulsion trying to get his confession out. And he could not finish. The rich young ruler in the Gospel, same story kept the commandments. He knew the laws. He had the wealth. Christ asked him for one thing he could not give. Sell that thou hast and come follow me. He went away sorrowful, because his heart was in his yoke, not the Lord's yoke. 6. The inversion here's what the gurus will not tell you. The law of success.
[00:03:30] The laws of success are real. Think and grow. Rich is real. Hill, Alan, Jordan. They found the form. But the form without the power rots the soul. You take a fraction of your energy and put it toward God, and you can change eternity. You take all of your energy and put it towards God's kingdom on earth, as it is in heaven. And your billion becomes infinity. Plus or minus 1, plus or minus a billion submitted into Christ multiplied without end. 7.
[00:04:03] The vine. John 15, verse 5. I am the vine. Ye are the branches. He that abideth in me and I in him the same bringeth forth much fruit. For without me ye can do nothing. Without him, nothing. Capital N.
[00:04:19] Nothing. With him, infinity. That is the equation. This is the only equation that matters. Number eight.
[00:04:29] Stop laboring for money. Start laboring for Zion. Stop optimizing the natural man. Start surrendering him. Stop being a good boy. Start awakening the divine nature within you. The kingdom of God is not a hashtag. It's a yoke. Take it up. Bridle the tongue, bridle the body. Then your home, then your stewardship, then your dominion forevermore increases. Because you finally tapped into more than the form. You tapped into the power. Nothing divided by infinity is zero, leaned against the wrong wall. Every fortune built on the natural man. Every kingdom that promised satisfaction and delivered sand. But there is an inversion. The equation that changes everything.
[00:05:14] Plus or minus one, plus or minus a billion surrendered into Christ multiplied into infinity. That is the yoke, that is the vine. That is the power behind the form. You do not get there by trying harder at the world's game. You get there by laying it down, selling what you have in whatever way the Lord asks you to sell it, and following him, idling the tongue.
[00:05:39] By yielding the natural man. By handing the reins to the reign of God within. Tomorrow I'm going to tell you a story a personal one. The day the Lord caught me on the water with his grip already holding me, and asked me, wherefore didst thou doubt? It is the testimony that earned the right to teach the two episodes you've just heard. Until then, sit with the math. Let it work on you. The the form is not enough. It has never been enough. But the power of godliness is within reach of every soul who will yield to it. This is the spark and the fire. The spark is to live the teachings of Christ. The fire is to be perfected in him. Kent.
